Mobility to Hannover, Germany



 OUR SECOND MOBILITY FOR STUDENTS AS ACCREDITED SCHOOL  : 

HANNOVER, GERMANY

 

PARTNER SCHOOL: Gymnasium Mellendorf  WEBSITE

NUMBER OF STUDENTS: 17

AGE: 15-16

DATES OF THE MOBILITY: We will travel on February 2024, we will receive our German hosts on April 2024

PROJECT: WATER AND LIFE

 DAY 1: WE LEFT MADRID ON THE 15TH OF FEBRUARY 2024  TO FLY TO HANNOVER


DAY 2: WE WERE RECEIVED AT SCHOOL




THE SECOND DAY WE WENT ICE SKATING, IT WAS REALLY FUN!!


 
 
DAYS 3 AND 4: WE SPENT THE WEEKEND WITH OUTR FAMILIES

DAY 5: WE VISITED HAMBOURG WITH OUR GERMAN PARTNERS.




WE WENT FOR A WALK IN HAFENCITY ,   UNESCO World Heritage Site the first modern harbor basin,  built between 1863 and 1866, which allowed the new steam ships to sail right into the city. We soon learned that the historic warehouses cover 25 hectares, and are now a vital element of the new HafenCity, where goods from all over the world were stored and processed duty free, today these buildings house museums, cafes, an amazing number of Persian and Turkish carpet import companies, and offices for businesses of all sorts. 

WE VISITED THE HARBOUR in HAMBURG, the largest seaport in Germany and the third largest in Europe. 

AND WE  HAD A TRIP ON A BOAT
DAY 6: WE CLEANED THE BUSHES IN A SWAMP NEAR MELLENDORF. 


The task was challenging!!

We worked in  international teams 
WE DID A GREAT JOB!!!
This is the result!!
DAY 7: STUDENTS TEAMWORKING AT SCHOOL. We made collages realted to water, a traditional task that we enjoyed a lot!!

 HOSTING GERMAN STUDENTS FROM HANNOVER From 20th to 25th January 2025, we received 16 students from Hannover (Germany), participating in an Erasmus mobility to our school. This is the program of the week they shared with us. Their Erasmus project is called "WATER AND LIFE", spo we have prepared activities that can contribute to their project, like a walk through Madrid Río, as an example or a modern urban project that transforms the city . They visited Madrid city centre with their Spanish hosts At school, we received a presentation from Lidia Arenillas, responsible of environmental educacion in Las Rozas City Hall. She explained water ecosystems in Sierra de Guadarrama, contributing to our partners project "Water and Life"
